How Much Does Concrete Cost in Vancouver, WA in 2026?

Concrete cost in Vancouver, WA for 2026: national price ranges for driveways, patios, slabs, stamped work, removal, walkways and walls, and how to read a quote.

How Much Does Concrete Cost in Vancouver, WA in 2026?

Plain concrete flatwork runs about $6 to $12 per square foot installed across the country in 2026. We do not post a Vancouver price list. Two yards a block apart can price differently here, because one is flat and dry and the other is sloped, shaded and soaked from October to May.

The price ranges on this page are national figures that HomeGuide published for 2026. They are not quotes from us. Labor rates, ready-mix prices, access to the yard and how wet or sloped the ground is all move a Clark County job up or down. Last checked October 2026.

How much does a concrete driveway cost?

The national range for a concrete driveway is $6 to $15 per square foot, which comes to $2,400 to $8,600 for a two-car driveway. Plain broom-finished concrete is $6 to $10 per square foot. Basic decorative work is $10 to $15. A sloped lot, tear-out of the old drive and a new approach at the street are the usual reasons a Vancouver driveway lands higher.

DrivewayNational installed cost
20x20 (400 sq ft)$2,400 to $6,000
24x24 (576 sq ft)$3,500 to $8,600
Plain, per sq ft$6 to $10
Basic decorative, per sq ft$10 to $15

How much does concrete cost per square foot?

A poured slab is $6 to $12 per square foot installed, going by the national figures. Thickness matters: a 4-inch slab is $6 to $8 per square foot and a 6-inch slab is $8 to $10. That covers forms, rock base, concrete, finishing and labor. Demolition, a pump truck for a backyard with no truck access, and extra rock on soft ground are added when needed.

How much does a concrete patio cost? What is a fair price for a 20x20 patio?

A plain patio is $4 to $12 per square foot nationally. Stained or stamped patios are $8 to $30. For a 20x20 patio, a fair national range is $1,600 to $4,800 plain and $3,200 to $12,000 stained or stamped. A plain 12x12 is $600 to $1,700. HomeGuide has no row for 12x20 or 16x20, so work out your square feet and multiply by the per-foot range.

How much does it cost to pour a concrete slab for a 24x24 garage or a 30x40 shop?

Published national slab prices are $600 to $1,200 for a 10x10, $860 to $1,700 for a 12x12, $2,400 to $4,800 for a 20x20 and $5,400 to $10,800 for a 30x30. There is no published row for the two sizes people ask about most. Simple arithmetic from the $6 to $12 per square foot figure gives $3,460 to $6,900 for a 24x24 slab (576 sq ft) and $7,200 to $14,400 for a 30x40 slab (1,200 sq ft). A building slab also needs footings, steel and often a vapor barrier, set by the building permit.

How much is a yard of concrete?

Ready-mix is $119 to $147 per cubic yard nationally, with delivery inside 20 miles included. That buys the material only. On a finished driveway or patio, the concrete itself is a small share of the bill next to labor, forming, base rock, steel and finishing.

How much does it cost to remove and replace an old driveway?

To remove and replace a driveway, add two numbers. Removal is $3 to $8 per square foot nationally with disposal, or $1,200 to $4,500 for a whole driveway. The new driveway is then $6 to $15 per square foot. In Vancouver, replacing a driveway like for like on your lot does not need the city's over-the-counter land use permit, but changing its size or touching the approach does.

How much does it cost to have old concrete broken up and hauled away?

Having old concrete broken up and hauled away costs $3 to $8 per square foot nationally, disposal included. Thick slabs, slabs with steel in them and backyards a machine cannot reach cost more to take out. Our quotes show tear-out and haul-away as a separate line so you can see it.

How much does stamped concrete cost compared with plain? What about color or stain?

Stamped concrete is $8 to $19 per square foot nationally. Compare that with $6 to $10 for a plain driveway or $4 to $12 for a plain patio. Published sizes: a 20x20 stamped patio is $3,200 to $7,600, a two-car stamped driveway is $6,900 to $10,400, and a 4x20 stamped walkway is $800 to $1,700. HomeGuide publishes no separate upcharge for color or stain alone, so we print no number for it. We price color after you pick it.

How much does a concrete walkway cost?

National walkway cost is $7 to $17 per square foot installed. A walk 4 feet wide works out to $28 to $68 per linear foot, and an average job is $1,400 to $3,400. Steps on a sloped front yard are extra and have no published figure, so we price them on site.

How much does a concrete retaining wall cost?

The national retaining wall cost is $3,000 to $10,000 for an average wall, or $45 to $270 per linear foot, or $15 to $45 per square foot of wall face. On the hills in Camas, Felida and Washougal, the drain rock and pipe behind the wall and any engineering are a real part of that price.

How much does a parking pad or sidewalk cost for a small business?

There is no published figure for commercial parking pads or lots, so we give none. For a small business we price after a visit, because truck weight, stormwater rules, the accessible route from parking to the door and any work in the public right of way all change the job. A plain sidewalk starts from the walkway range above.

I have three quotes for the same patio and they are far apart. Which one do I trust?

Trust the one that tells you what is being built. When quotes are far apart, the difference is nearly always hidden work: how deep the soft topsoil is dug out, how much crushed rock goes in, slab thickness, steel, joints and whether a pump is included. Line the quotes up and compare those items. Here a slab poured on wet native soil with no rock base is the cheap quote, and it is the one that settles.

The contractor wants extra for a gravel base after demolition. Is that fair?

It can be fair, if the quote said how it would be handled. Nobody sees the ground under an old slab until it is out, and soft, saturated soil under old concrete is common here in winter. A good quote names a unit price for extra rock before work starts. If someone asks for extra for the gravel base with nothing written down, look at the ground yourself and get the change in writing before you agree.

How do I know if a concrete quote is fair?

A quote is fair when the price sits inside the published range for that kind of work and the paper lists what you get. Look for square feet, thickness, base depth, reinforcement, joint spacing, finish, tear-out, haul-away, permits and cleanup, then the payment schedule. In Washington, a contractor must also give you a written disclosure statement on a home job of $1,000 or more (RCW 18.27.114).
